Create Free Logos

Sign Up / Log In
Go to Canva.com and create an account (free) or log in if you already have one.
2. Start a New Logo Design
On the homepage, type "Logo" into the search bar at the top.
Hit Enter and select "Logo" from the suggestions to open up a blank design canvas.
3. Choose a Free Template
Browse Templates: You’ll see tons of logo templates in various styles. To make sure they’re free, you can use the filter on the left and select “Free” under “Price” (make sure you're not selecting templates marked as "Pro").
Select a Template: Pick one that’s close to what you want. You can change everything (colors, text, icons), so don’t worry about it being a perfect match right away.
4. Customize Your Logo (for Free!)
Now, let’s make it your own!
Change the Text:
Click on the text you want to change (like the company name).
Type in your own name or slogan.
You can change fonts (pick a free one from the dropdown), adjust size, or make text bold/italic.
Change the Colors:
Click on any element (text, shape, icon).
At the top of the screen, click on the color box to change its color.
Free colors: Stick to the default color palette, or if you know a hex code, you can type it in.
Add Free Icons & Graphics:
On the left sidebar, click "Elements".
Search for free icons, shapes, or lines (you can see which ones are free by checking the little "Free" tag on them).
Drag and drop the elements you like onto the canvas.
Adjust Layout:
Resize or move elements by clicking and dragging.
Canva will auto-align elements as you move them (helps to keep things neat).
5. Make Sure It’s Free
Important: Some features in Canva are only available with Canva Pro (paid), like certain icons or the ability to download with a transparent background.
When you choose images, fonts, and templates, make sure they’re tagged “Free”. You can also see the price for each item by looking for the word "Pro" next to the icon.
6. Download Your Logo (For Free)
When your design is ready, click the Download button in the top-right corner.
Choose PNG as the file format (high-quality). Avoid transparent background unless you're okay with Canva Pro features (if you don’t need it, just skip that option).
Click Download.
7. Enjoy Your New Logo!
Now you have a free logo that you can use on your website, social media, business cards, and more!
